RoboticsHire ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website at roboticshire.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have regarding your data. By using our website, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Job Seekers & Subscribers

  • Email address — collected when you sign up for job alerts or the weekly digest newsletter.
  • Job alert preferences — the categories (e.g., autonomous vehicles, industrial robotics), remote preference, and any other filters you set when subscribing to alerts.
  • Confirmation status and tokens — a unique token generated at sign-up to confirm your subscription via a double opt-in email.

1.2 Employers & Advertisers

  • Contact information — your name, business email address, and company name when you create an employer account or submit a job listing.
  • Company details — company website, logo, and description that you provide as part of your job listing.
  • Billing information — your name and email address associated with payment. We do not store your card number, CVV, or full payment details. All payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. See Section 4 for details.

1.3 Automatically Collected Data

  • Usage data — pages visited, job listings viewed, apply button clicks, and referring URLs, collected through standard server logs and privacy-respecting analytics.
  • Device & browser information — IP address, browser type, and operating system for security and abuse-prevention purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Sending job alerts — to deliver email notifications matching your selected categories and preferences when new jobs are posted.
  • Weekly digest — to send the RoboticsHire weekly newsletter to confirmed digest subscribers.
  • Order receipts and listing confirmations — to send employers a confirmation email when their job listing is submitted and when it goes live.
  • Listing expiry notifications — to notify employers when their job listing is approaching or has passed its expiration date.
  • Improving the service — to understand how users interact with the site, which categories are most popular, and how to improve the overall experience.
  • Security and fraud prevention — to detect and prevent abuse, spam submissions, and unauthorized access.

3. Email Communications

All email communications from RoboticsHire — including job alerts, the weekly digest, and transactional messages — are delivered using Resend (resend.com), a third-party email delivery service. Resend receives your email address solely to facilitate delivery of these messages. Resend does not use your data for its own marketing or advertising purposes.

All marketing and alert emails include an unsubscribe link. You may opt out at any time. Transactional emails (e.g., payment receipts, listing confirmations) cannot be unsubscribed from as they are necessary to complete a transaction you have initiated.

4. Payment Data & Stripe

Job listing payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. (stripe.com). When you enter payment information on our checkout page, that data is sent directly to Stripe over a secure, encrypted connection.

We never store your credit card number, expiration date, or CVV on our servers. RoboticsHire only retains the Stripe Payment Intent ID and Stripe Customer ID for the purpose of associating a payment with your employer account and listing.

Stripe's privacy practices are governed by the Stripe Privacy Policy.

5. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. Ever.

We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers — We use Supabase (database hosting), Stripe (payment processing), and Resend (email delivery). Each provider receives only the data necessary to perform their specific function and is contractually prohibited from using your data for other purposes.
  • Legal compliance — We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of RoboticsHire, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers — In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify affected users by email prior to any such transfer.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as necessary to provide the services you have requested or as required by law.

  • Job alert and digest subscriptions — retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
  • Employer accounts and job listings — retained for a minimum of 2 years for billing, tax, and dispute resolution purposes, then deleted or anonymized.
  • Server logs — retained for up to 90 days for security purposes, then deleted.

7. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right to access — You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to correction — You may request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Right to deletion — You may request that we delete your personal data. To delete your account or subscription data, email us at hello@roboticshire.email with the subject line "Data Deletion Request."
  • Right to unsubscribe — Every marketing email contains a one-click unsubscribe link. You may also email us to be removed from all communications.
  • Right to portability — Upon request, we will provide your data in a machine-readable format.

We will respond to all data rights requests within 30 days.

8. Cookies & Tracking

RoboticsHire uses minimal cookies strictly necessary for the site to function — including session management and CSRF protection. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels. We do not participate in behavioral advertising networks.

You may disable cookies in your browser settings. Doing so may affect certain functionality such as employer account login.

9. Children's Privacy

RoboticsHire is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child under 16 has submitted personal information to us, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify registered employers via email. Your continued use of RoboticsHire after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
